Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka flights
We are flying to these destinations. Flights from these countries to the UAE are restricted until 31 July. Check our travel guides for more details.
China flights
If you’re travelling to Shanghai from the UAE, you must have a COVID-19 PCR test and IgM test 48 hours before your flight. Submit your test results and other documents to the local Chinese embassy for verification and present your Green Health Code or Embassy Health Declaration Form at check-in. Read more
From 31 July, you won’t need to quarantine if you’re travelling on a direct flight to Abu Dhabi from any of the countries below.

You must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result before every Etihad Airways flight. For most destinations, your test must be carried out 48 or 72 hours ahead of your flight departure time. This will depend on where you’re flying to or from and your transit time.

That depends on where you’re flying to. In a lot of cases, children up to a certain age will be required to have a test before they fly.

Yes. We’re conducting COVID-19 rapid testing in Abu Dhabi airport. Tests cost USD 50 (subject to exchange rate) and you will need to pay for your test when you check-in.

No, you will not be required to quarantine if you’re travelling straight to Dubai. You are permitted to travel to Dubai or any northern emirate by Etihad Chauffeur or Etihad Coach only.
If you are travelling to Abu Dhabi airport from Dubai, you can use any form of transport. You must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result valid within 48 hours to enter Abu Dhabi from Dubai.

To keep everyone protected on board, you must have a COVID-19 PCR test before every Etihad Airways flight.
Whether you are required to quarantine will depend on where you are flying to and your travel history.
You can pay to print personal documents, like your PCR test result, at selected airports. Please note that printing facilities are not available at every airport.
We’re making it simpler to travel on short breaks and business trips with Etihad Airways.
For trips less than 72 hours, valid PCR tests taken in the UAE can now be used for return journeys too. That means there’s no need to take another PCR test before flying back to Abu Dhabi.
